The Great Central U.S. Shakeout

Pontotoc City School Students participated in the annual earthquake drill "Drop, Cover, and Hold On." This drill created an opportunity to practice what to do during earthquakes.  According to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, prepared and informed schools are likely to respond appropriately, reducing their chances for damage and injury. The goal of the drill was for more than 300,000 students, teachers and staff to simultaneously practice recommended actions to take during an earthquake.
