Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Beth Wray
Hello! My name is Beth Wray, and I have been a resident of Pontotoc for most of my life. I am married to Chris Wray, and we have two children: Evan, a 16-year-old son and eleventh grader at Pontotoc High School, and Allison, a 13-year-old daughter and eighth grader at Pontotoc Junior High School. My parents are Bobbie Moorman of the Cooke community and the late Rev. Billy Galloway of Pontotoc. My family and I attend WellSpring Church in Pontotoc where I am the minister of music and a youth leader.
As far as my education is concerned, I am a 1989 graduate of Pontotoc High School. My college career, however, did not begin until the summer of 2010 when I began classes at Itawamba Community College majoring in Elementary Education. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi in May 2014 and also graduated with a Master's Degree in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University in August 2016. I am currently in the process of completing coursework to attain my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. I hope to have all coursework completed by May 2019.
I truly believe every child can reach his/her full potential with great patience, perseverance, hard work, and determination. Success will be celebrated in my classroom, and the students and I will have an excellent journey as "Outstanding Wonderful Learners." It is my hope and my prayer that we can all work hard together and become true Warriors of Distinction!
