Sixth grade gifted students begin their introduction to the world of yarn, slip loops and hooks in the month of November. They are learning a new language - Crochet! Where a sentence like this makes sense: "SC = go in 2nd st in ch; YO, pull through 1; YO, pull through 2 -- at the end of row, ch1, turn work." They are learning at an impressive rate and will be quickly on their way to independent projects for the holidays!
