Lava Lamps!

(9/5) In science, after discussing matter and chemical changes, Ms. Clingan's students made a lava lamp. They discussed how oil and water are both liquids, but water is heavier than oil. Then, they dropped in an Alka seltzer which mixed with the water and caused a chemical reaction-it made a gas called carbon dioxide. They added food coloring for fun.
