Mandalas Express Who We Are

(9/6): For the month of August, 6th grade gifted students learned about mindfulness and emotional self-regulation. Along with this, they completed daily critical thinking activities. Students learned that what we create artistically can be a reflection of self .... the colors we use, the shapes we choose, and the overall design composition - all reveal something about how we think, feel, and function. Together, we learned about mandalas, and how people have created them throughout history to explore and express themselves.
We did a tutorial together, learned and experimented with a graphic design approach, and created our own!
