Snackification in Science

(12/6): Our sixth grade scientists explored the world of classification with a tasty twist! During our Snackification activity, students grouped a variety of snacks—like gummy worms, pretzels, and popcorn—by their shared traits to learn how scientists organize living things.
The classroom was filled with questions like, “Do chips and crackers belong together?” and some bold theories about the “evolution” of gummies. Of course, we responsibly enjoyed our “research” once the sorting was done!
Ask your scientist which snack was their favorite discovery!
