Managing Emotions

(1/7) This week during classroom guidance, Ms. Kinnard is exploring the important topic of feelings through our lesson on emotions. Students are learning how feelings can vary and change based on different situations, helping them build an understanding of emotional awareness. The students will practice expressing feelings in healthy ways, such as talking, writing, or creating art, and will discuss how to recognize emotions in others to encourage empathy and kindness toward peers. Students will also be introduced to simple coping strategies, like deep breathing or using calming tools, to help manage overwhelming emotions.
