5th and 6th Grade Science Students Explore the Cosmos with Ole Miss Mobile Planetarium

(4/17): PMS 5th and 6th grade science students had an out-of-this-world experience when the University of Mississippi's Mobile Planetarium visited our school. The inflatable dome transformed the gym into a mini-universe, giving students a front-row seat to the wonders of space—without ever leaving campus!
Inside the dome, students were guided through an immersive journey across the night sky. They learned about constellations, planets, the phases of the moon, and deep space phenomena in a hands-on, interactive format that brought their science lessons to life. The darkened dome and 360-degree visuals made them feel like they were truly traveling through space.
This unique learning opportunity sparked excitement, curiosity, and plenty of questions about our solar system and beyond. A big thank you to the University of Mississippi for bringing such an engaging STEM experience to our students!
