PMS Welcomes Our Students for a GREAT year! (8/5): Students filled the halls and classrooms last week with great attitudes toward listening and learning. The teachers welcomed them as they discussed the rules and expectations at Pontotoc Middle School.
ELA Compares Characters with Venn Diagrams (8/5): Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Scott's ELA classes compared and contrasted characters using a venn diagram. The students participated by creating their own venn diagram.
What's In the Bag? (8/5): Mrs. Swain's sixth grade science class is kicking off Newton's Laws. She provided a fun way to get students' brains engaged with trying to guess what's in the bag. Random students' guesses were food, soft, and fruit.
PMS PTO Welcomes Teachers Back in a SWEET way! (8/4): PMS teachers were treated all last week with sweet treats. Corner Cravings gifts, bagel bar with fruit and ice cream floats to end the week. It was a wonderful way to start the school year.
2025-26 PMS Staff (7/31): We welcome new teachers and staff to our PMS family this year. Working together, this will be the best year yet!
PMS Students Received Backpacks sponsored by Toyota Mississippi (7/31): Special thanks to Toyota Mississippi for providing backpacks, supplies, and water bottles to our students. The students were excited to select their backpacks during Open House.
PMS Open House (7/31): Thank you for coming to Open House this week. We look forward to seeing our students on Friday, August 1. Teachers and staff are excited for a great school year.
PMS Awards Day will be May 22 (5/6): Awards Day for PMS students will be May 22 in the PJH Auditorium. Fifth graders will be recognized at 8:30 and sixth graders will be recognized at 9:30. Teachers will let parents know if their students are getting an award.
Stop and Snip the Roses! (5/12): After pruning all 15 rose bushes in front of the middle school, AG students turned into hopeful plant parents—using cuttings to try and grow brand-new bushes. Fingers crossed and thorns avoided!
