Ninth Grade Academy
3/23/23: This month's topic in Ninth Grade Academy concerns Making Good Choices. Our guest speaker was Mr. Anthony Bowdry, Training and Development Analyst for Toyota Mississippi. After an introduction by Coach Armstrong, Mr. Bowdry shared his own personal story of being shot when he was in 9th grade and how that event impacted his life. He now uses that negative event in his own life to help others make positive change in their lives.

NMMC Mentorship Academy
3/22/23: Congratulations to PHS Seniors Cadence Griffin and Dorienne Lawrence for being accepted into North Mississippi Medical Center's Mentorship Academy.
The NMMC Mentorship Academy is a model program created by the Mississippi Office of Nursing Workforce. The Academy targets students with interest in nursing or other health care careers. Students will be trained and mentored in a state-approved, 80-clock-hour Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Journey Through the National Parks
(3/24) Journey Through the National Parks Gifted Showcase was a wonderful experience for 3rd and 4th grade UFO students. Students presented their research, projects, and art pertaining to their specific national park to parents and guests as they “toured” throughout the various parks displayed in the hallway.

Go West!
(3/23) DT Cox 4th grade music classes kicked off the week before Spring Break with a wonderful musical presentation of “Go West!” The students sang songs, had narration, and demonstrated a circle dance! All materials were aspects of materials the students had learned about the Chisholm Trail and Oregon trail. We love to put learning to life!
