Parent and Family Notification Process for School Closing

In the event of severe or winter weather, Pontotoc City School District will notify families using multiple methods to ensure timely and accurate communication.

Parents and guardians will receive:

  • An automated phone call (AIM call) to the contacts listed in the student’s information

  • A School Status message to “resides with” contacts

  • Updates shared with local news outlets and on official district social media pages
