Rho Kappa Induction (10/29) On October 29th during Advisory period, the second annual Rho Kappa Honor Society members were inducted in the library. Rho Kappa is the only nationally recognized high school honor society for social studies, and Pontotoc High School is proud to host a chapter and for its members.
Red Ribbon Week! (10/27) Through Red Ribbon Week activities, posters, and more, PHS counselors lead students in recognizing the havoc drugs and alcohol bring physically, socially, and emotionally. Students are encouraged to dress up each day to bring awareness to living drug-free.
2025 Pontotoc College and Career Fair (10/22) PHS Juniors and Seniors attended the Pontotoc College and Career Fair on Tuesday, October 21st. This event was sponsored by the Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center and was held at the Gateway Pavilion. Over 50 organizations were on hand to provide students from PHS, NPHS and SPHS with information concerning college programs, training programs, career fields, and job opportunities. We thank all the organizations and their representatives for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and share vital information with our students.

PHS Open House (9/29) PHS Open House is October 23rd from 4:00-6:00. Parents and guardians are invited to this come-and-go event to meet with teachers.

Big Ideas Mobile Skills Lab (10/6) Sophomores enjoyed the visit from the Big Ideas Mobile Skills Lab on October 2nd and 3rd. Each Sophomore had the opportunity to spend one hour rotating through skilled trade simulations and hands-on activities. They were even given the opportunity to choose from 25 careers to experience through use of Virtual Reality headsets.Thank you to the Toyota Wellspring Education Fund, CREATE Foundation, TVA and volunteers from Toyota Mississippi for making this special event possible!
