(10/28) DTC students put bad choices to bed by wearing their cozy pajamas today! 💤😴 We’re proud of our students for showing their commitment to making healthy, positive choices each day. ❤️

(10/27) Red Ribbon Week kicked off today! ❤️ DTC students are “RED-DY” to grow up healthy and drug free! Students showed their support by wearing red and pledging to make positive choices each day.

DTC gifted students spent time learning all about giraffes — and then discovered what it really means to be a Giraffe Hero: someone who cares deeply, shows courage, takes helpful action, and keeps going with persistence.

We talked about what it takes to “stick your neck out” for others and looked for Giraffe Heroes right here in our hometown — administrators, nurses, lawyers, teachers, moms, dads, and so many more who make a difference every day.

It’s been a wonderful week celebrating the amazing people we know and love who make our community a better place! ❤️👏

(10/27) In this PE activity, students reviewed the skeletal system and learned about the organs it protects. After the discussion, they played Mr. Bones, a team-based game combining exercise and anatomy. Students chose from ten different exercises; after completing one, they could earn a “dollar” from the teacher (acting as the banker). Teams used their earnings to “buy” bones to assemble a full skeleton. The team with the most bones by the end of the music won. The game reinforced anatomy knowledge while promoting teamwork and physical activity.

(10/24) Ms. Mutch’s class just wrapped up their book study on Wonder! 🌟 Students worked together to create a beautiful poster and shared great discussions about the importance of choosing kindness every day. 💙

(10/24) Students at DTC who met their AR goal for the first nine weeks were rewarded with popsicles and extra recess today!

(10/24) Mrs. Roe's students had fun reviewing reading skills with a fun trick or treat game! Students drew a card from the bucket- if it was a “treat” and they answered a question correctly, they got a candy piece. If it was a “trick”, they had to do a halloween dare! The team with the most candy pieces won!
